30 residents from municipality of Irosin undergo training in Raise Poultry under BuB program
In pursuance to its commitment of integrating programs that are responsive to community needs, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Sorsogon Provincial Office provided skills training to thirty (30) residents in municipality of Irosin under the Bottom-up Budgeting Program.

The said training with a nominal duration of 30 days starting from December 5, 2016-February 8, 2017 aims to empower communities in the grassroots level and equip them with skills for gainful employment in the future.

During the 30-day training, the trainees underwent intensive skills enhancement in competencies including maintaining poultry house, brooding and growing chicks as well as applying safety measures in farm operations and using farm tools and equipment. A person who achieve such competencies is qualified to be a poultry farm worker or a poultry breeder thus giving them a greater chance and opportunity to score employment in the future.

The said skills training was implemented in partnership with the local government unit of Irosin as part of the Bottom-up budgeting program which aims to aims to provide skills enhancements and training programs and help communities for employment opportunities.
