Skills Competitor Joven H. Hayagan bags Gold Medal in International Skills Competition

Hailed from the southernmost tip of Luzon, Joven H. Hayagan, an IT Graduate of Computer Communication Development Institute, has triumphed his way up to the international scene as he bagged the gold medal in IT Software Solutions in the recently concluded 1st China International Skills Competition (CISC) 2017 last June 5-9 held in Suzhou and Shanghai.

 

Hayagan, along with fellow Filipino Competitor Jalanie Dimacaling, a bronze medalist in the Web Design category competed with more than 400 participants who are deemed as the best and brightest from their respective countries with world-class skills in different trade areas and expertise.

Aside from winning the CISC 2017, Hayagan was also a silver medalist in the 11th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Skills Competition (ASC) held last September 19-29 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and a gold medalist in Philippine National Skills Competition (PNSC) held at TESDA Center, Manila City last June 21 to 24, 2016.

 

The yearly skills competition is one of the endeavors of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in providing an avenue for tech-voc graduates and trainees to showcase their skills in various trade areas as it continues to uplift the level of vocational education in the country.
