TESDA Sorsogon embarks on a Community-Based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP) for Substance Use Disorders along with Provincial Health Office
In line with TESDA Circular on Institutionalizing Drug Abuse Prevention and pursuant to the rigorous campaign of the government against illegal drugs in the country, TESDA Sorsogon participated in the training on community-based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP) for Substance Use Disorders on June 8, 2017 at Fritz Homestay, Executive Village, Tugos, Sorsogon City.

The said activity was initiated by Department of Health through the Non-Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Cluster in coordination with the Provincial Health Office which aimed to provide skills and applications to participants on various aspects of CBRP.

Meanwhile, TESDA Representative, Mr. Jason H. Olarte walked the participants on the special programs and services offered by the agency relative to the aftercare of Surrendering Drug Users. Furthermore, he oriented the participants which is composed of Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) officers on the process of the program availment for SDUs in their respective municipalities.

The said intervention is part of TESDA’s commitment of strengthening linkages among other agencies and stakeholders in providing quality and genuine service to the public in line with the thrust of the new administration under the supervision of Sec. Guiling Mamondiong which is “Malasakit at Pagbabago, TESDA, Susi sa Kinabukasan.”
