TESDA, Duka General Merchandise launch 1st Sorsogon Baking Fair
Duka General Merchandise in cooperation with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and Department of Trade and Industry launched 1st Sorsogon Baking Fair last July 8, 2017, 8:00 a.m. at Provincial Gymnasium, Sorsogon City.
The said activity aims to promote and inform the province’s baking community with the necessary techniques and modern knowledge in baking. Moreover, the event featured a premiere exposition of baking skills, innovation in baking tools and an exhibit of the leading quality products from seasoned companies including Atlantic Grains Inc., Asia Eurobakers / Phil. Flour Mills, RFM Corporation, Pilmico, Nestle Docello (Desserts), etc.
Present to support the event were TESDA Regional Director Cleta M. Omega, Provincial Director Jose V. Serrano Jr., and Supervising TESD Specialist Ricardo B. Detecio who delivered the opening remarks and welcomed the participants to the said event. Joining them are DTI Provincial Director Leah A. Pagao and DGM Proprietor Rebecca Duka.
Considering Sorsogon as one of the provinces with a significant number of bakeries that cater to the daily needs of demographically diverse consumers, DUKA General Merchandise declared the Baking Fair as an Official and Annual Event following its success.
