TESDA, DOLE award starter toolkits to tech-voc graduates in municipality of Castilla under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP)

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority in partnership with Department of Labor and Employment Sorsogon sparked new hope to tech-voc graduates of Perform Gasoline & Diesel Engine Tune-Up during the awarding and distribution of tool kits last April 11, 2017 at Poblacion, Castilla, Sorsogon.

The said activity was part of DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) which aims to contribute to poverty reduction and reduce vulnerability to risks of the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized workers, either through: (1) transitional emergency employment; and (2) promotion of entrepreneurship and community enterprises.

 

The seventeen (17) beneficiaries were awarded with an amount of Php 10,000 worth of power tools and equipment as a package assistance as they start their business undertaking.

Prior to the distribution, a training on productivity enhancement program was conducted to orient beneficiaries on business planning management to ensure efficiency and sustainability of business.

DOLE’s Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) is part of TESDA’s commitment of strengthening linkages among other agencies and stakeholders in providing quality and genuine service to the public in line with the thrust of the new administration under the supervision of Sec. Guiling Mamondiong which is “Malasakit at Pagbabago, TESDA, Susi sa Kinabukasan.”
