About 118 TESDA STEP Graduates receive toolkits in municipalities of Castilla and Juban
About 118 technical-vocational graduates of various qualification courses in the municipality of Castilla and Casiguran under the Special Training Employment Program (STEP) received livelihood tool kits from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority during the Ceremonial Rites organized by the respective local government units of Casiguran and Castilla last October 21, 2016.

Supervising TESD Specialist Ricardo Detecio along with Auditor Francia Sementela of Commission of Audit spearheaded the distribution of tool kits with Cong. Evelina Escudero and Barangay Captain Bobot Ortiz in Castilla and Mayor Antonio H. Alindogan in Juban.

The said beneficiaries of the livelihood tool kits were the 2015 STEP Graduates from different qualifications including Perform Diesel/Gas Engine Tune-Up and two batches of Masonry NC II, Tile Setting NC II and Carpentry NC II.
Special Training Employment Program (STEP) is a community-based training program that seeks to address the specific needs of communities and train youth with technical skills that will equip and empower them towards employment opportunities, may it be as self-employment or entrepreneurship.

Since STEP was implemented, a lot of community members have already benefitted from it of which most of the beneficiaries are already engaged into self or wage employment.
