TESDA Sorsogon teams up with City Government of  Sorsogon for a two-day skills training

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Sorsogon Provincial Office tied up with the city government of Sorsogon through the Public Employment Service Office for a two-day skills training to boost manpower skills among marginalized groups in city of Sorsogon last January 19-20, 2017.

The said skills training is part of TESDA’s community based training program that cater workforce development through training and skills enhancement in pursuance to its objective of intensifying and catalyzing employment opportunities especially among the marginalized groups.

​

Twenty-five (25) trainees from different barangays in the city of Sorsogon underwent hands-on training in food processing such as bread and pastry making and cakes and frosting under the tutelage of a qualified trainer. The beneficiaries of the said training were comprised of members from the marginal sectors including Senior Citizens, Women and Overseas Filipino Workers.

The manpower skills training was one of the collaborative efforts between TESDA Sorsogon and the city government unit of Sorsogon which aims to further technical vocational education and strengthen livelihood and employment opportunities among communities in the city of Sorsogon through skills enhancement and training.
