TESDA, LGU Sorsogon award certificate to over 126 completers of community-based skills training in city of Sorsogon
Armed with the right skills and sufficient training, a total of 126 beneficiaries of community-based skills training in the city of Sorsogon were awarded with certificate of recognition for having satisfactorily completed the skills training in their respective qualification courses during the culminating activity organized by the Local Government Unit of Sorsogon through the Public Employment Service Office last December 12, 2016 at City Hall, Sorsogon City.

Among the one hundred twenty-six (126) trainees, twenty-two (22) of which graduated in Haircutting, twenty-four (24) in Manicure and Pedicure, sixty (60) in Cake and Frosting, twelve (12) in Deep Frying and eight (8) in Puto and Siopao Making and were equipped with knowledge and skills through a hands-on training under the supervision of qualified TVET trainers in their respective expertise.

Present in the culminating activity were Sorsogon City Mayor Sally A. Lee, City Administrator Marilyn Dimaano, City PESO Manager Maxelinda D. Tayo and Supervising TESD Specialist Ricardo B. Detecio.

The community-based skills training was one of the collaborative efforts between TESDA Sorsogon and the city government of Sorsogon which aims to further technical vocational education and strengthen livelihood and employment opportunities among communities in the city of Sorsogon through skills enhancement and training.
