TESDA launches livelihood skills training under BuB program in municipality of Casiguran
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority launched its remaining livelihood skills training programs under Bottom-Up Budgeting in municipality of Casiguran last April 4, 2017.
Among the skills training implemented were Perform Manicure and Pedicure (Leading to Beauty Care NC II) and Perform Haircutting (Leading to Hairdressing NC II) with a nominal duration of 20 days for Perform Manicure/Pedicure and 28 days for Perform Haircutting.
The 25 trainees coming from different barangays in Casiguran will undergo intensive skills enhancement in perform manicure/pedicure which include preparing the client, cleaning of finger nails and toe nails, applying nail polish, and applying the final touch. More so, the other group of 25 trainees will train in Perform Haircutting which include practices in conducting initial consultation with the client, assessing their needs, actual cutting of the hair, checking and applying finishing touches and performing post-hair cutting activities.
The said skills training is under the Bottom-Up Budgeting program of the agency which aims to provide skills enhancements and training programs and help communities for employment opportunities.
