Senior Citizens embark on a livelihood and skills training with TESDA

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Sorsogon Provincial Office conducted a community-based livelihood and skills training for senior citizens in the city of Sorsogon last March 29-30, 2017 at TESDA Sorsogon Provincial Office.         

The said skills training is under the community based training program of the agency which aims to further technical vocational education and strengthen livelihood and employment opportunities among communities in the city of Sorsogon through skills enhancement and training.

A total of 25 senior citizens from the different barangays in the city underwent skills training in siopao making, puto pao, sharksfin and sioma making. The skills training aimed to provide senior citizens  with skills enhancement and help them gain additional income as they continue to become productive citizens in the society.

The skills training is part of TESDA’s commitment in generating livelihood enterprises by providing community based programs that cater workforce development such as training and skills enhancement.
