TESDA Sorsogon conducts a 10-day community-based skills training in partnership with LGU Sorsogon
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Sorsogon Provincial Office in collaboration with Local Government Unit of Sorsogon embarked on a 10-day skills training last November 14-25, 2016 at TESDA Sorsogon Function Hall.
The said skills training is under the community based training program of the agency which aims to further technical vocational education and strengthen livelihood and employment opportunities among communities in the city of Sorsogon through skills enhancement and training.
About 50 beneficiaries from the different barangays in the city underwent skills training in Manicure and Pedicure Services and Haircutting Services. During the 10-day course training, the trainees were equipped with knowledge and skills through a hands-on training under the supervision of qualified TVET trainers in their respective expertise.
The skills training is part of TESDA’s commitment in generating livelihood enterprises by providing community based programs that cater workforce development such as training and skills enhancement.
