78 trainees receive tool kits in municipality of Donsol under TESDA’s Special Training for Employment Program

A total of 78 technical-vocational graduates in the municipality of Donsol under the Special Training Employment Program (STEP) received livelihood tool kits from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority during the culminating activity held at Rosewall Resort, Donsol, Sorsogon last December 28, 2016.

TESDA Sorsogon Provincial Director Jose V. Serrano Jr., along with Cong. Evelina G. Escudero, Municipal Mayor Josephine S. Alcantara Cruz and ABC President Erwin N. Bista spearheaded the distribution of tool kits.

​

The tool kits of which are intended to aid and support trainees in establishing their own livelihood or business were awarded to the 78 tech-voc graduates of different qualification courses including Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Carpentry, Tile Setting and Masonry.

​

The said training program was under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) of TESDA which is an intervention program to address high poverty incidence in communities through technical vocational trainings that are accessible to the people, most especially the less privileged families.
