44 skills trainees under the Special Training for Employment Program awarded with starter tool kits in province of Sorsogon

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority in cooperation with Append Party-list awarded the tool kits to skills trainees of Service Consumer Electronic Products and System (Assembly of Solar Night Light and Post Lamp) and Bread and Pastry Production under the Special Training for Employment  Program last January 31, 2017 at TESDA Sorsogon Function Hall.

A total of 44 trainees coming from the municipality of Magallanes and city of Sorsogon received starter tools kits which are purposely aimed at assisting the trainees as they start to generate their own livelihood and business in adherence to the agency’s pursuit of providing training programs that seek to address the specific needs of communities.

​

Spearheading the distribution were Supervising TESD Specialist Ricardo B. Detecio and APPEND Party-list Representative Acel Diesta, Auditor France Sementala and Ms. Lanie Recebido of PHALFSI.

​

More so, Supervising TESD Specialist Ricardo B. Detecio urged and encouraged the trainees to utilize and make good use of the tools handed to them in generating their own livelihood or business in the future.

​

The said skills training is an intervention program of the agency to address unemployment and poverty incidence in communities through technical vocational trainings that are accessible to the people, most especially the less privileged families.
