TESDA Sorsogon hosts an Inter-agency meeting with OFWs in partnership with OWWA
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) hosted the inter-agency meeting with Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in partnership with Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and Department of Trade and Industry conducted at TESDA Sorsogon Provincial Office Function Hall last October 6, 2016.
Present in the meeting were OWWA OIC Director Teresita R. Bantinan, Chief Industry Trade Development Specialist Senen C. Malaya and TESDA Supervising TESD Specialist Ricardo B. Detecio to discuss the programs and projects for the OFWs of their respective agencies.

The said meeting was initiated by OWWA to meet with fellow agencies and discuss the current activities and programs for potential partnerships and collaborations in coming up with special programs for OFWs.
This in pursuit with TESDA’s support program to OFW which aims to develop/identify interventions for the displaced workers in Saudi Arabia, which will provide the workers and immediate family with the necessary competencies that will provide them greater opportunities for decent job; and programs that will boost their moral and self-esteem.
