In support to its commitment of strengthening linkages among other agencies and stakeholders in providing quality and genuine service to the public, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Sorsogon Provincial Office conducted a skills training in Perform Haircutting which was participated by police officers in the province of Sorsogon last March 21-27, 2017 at Camp Salvador Escudero.

The said skills training is part of the agency’s task to integrate skills enhancement to its growing TVET clients in line with one of President Rodrigo Duterte’s 10 point socio economic agenda which is to invest in human capital development, including health and education systems, and match skills and training.

The 35 policemen coming from different municipalities in Sorsogon underwent a 5-day skills enhancement training in their preferred training program which is Perform Haircutting. The skills training aimed to equip the trainees with the basic skills in haircutting and improve their competence and knowledge in the said craft so that they themselves can transfer the skills to the communities.

Furthermore, TESDA Sorsogon continues to encourage full participation of different sectors in the skills development of human resources as part of its mandate to provide skills training towards the development of the Filipino workforce with world-class competence and positive work values.
